Like Barasso Pitt is the place for a 33 yr old goalie.
Brooklyn? This team has a soft 2nd and 3rd line and their vet call ups are Finley and Sim. Doubt Miller would take a back seat to a 23 yr old JT.

Don't knock Seattle a city full of Microsoft millionaires and the Seahawks are solid.

Miller will be great anywhere with a decent team, his greatness is so under-appriciated here. He saves 40 shots and we lose 3-1 yet people female dog about a weak goal. Buffalo wouldnt do that, miller is going for picks/prospects. Stasney would just walk as a ufa and were getting our #1 center in the draft this year. Were picking at least 2nd, we already have the worst record by 7 points and were on our way to the least goals in an 82 game season by almost 30 haha.

If you got miller, vanek would stay. Reinhart, Pulock, Stome are all great prospects and close to NHL ready, the isles are close to competing for the cup. Very least a playoff team this year if they have miller.

Only if you're building a fantasy team Is that true. As a fan I don't expect them to go from a team that nobody feels challenged by to a cup contender. Miller would have to stand on his head to get them in the playoffs.

Since the 04 lockout only four teams have scored fewer than 190 goals. The lowest was 168. The Sabres are on pace to only score around 130 goals this year. If I were Miller I would want to be traded yesterday.

I can't see any wy he'd re-sign here
Ya, we could offer a ton of $$$, but if he waits till free agency he'll have plenty of offers from teams ready to contend right away
That just isn't the case with us
We're at least 3yrs away, and that's being optimistic
He'll move on,
And prob win a cup or two

Sabres need to trade Miller and maximize value back. Trade him after Olympics where presumptively he'll shine with a great D in front of him. Sabres are too far away from being good now or in next 3 years..and Miller will then be 36 or older and past his prime. Sabres need to find out what they have in their young goalies and chart a path based on that learning.
I'm also hopeful that Stafford continues to find his game so his value is maximized as a throw-in with either Ott or Moulsen at the deadline for a near NHL-ready A prospect from a contender who knows how to develop young players. Continue to stock that cupboard for the 2015 -16 season with young guns who have seasoned with 2 - 3 years of AHL experience for adjustment/grooming for the big league. (send Grigernko down next season, please!!!)

Translation:

"Hey, Patty La La. The annual NHL salary cap will be upwards of $85-$90 million in the next five seasons. So Tell your next GM if he's serious about re-signing me, my price and term just went up, and my term just got longer".

Does this mean that his term went up... and then went up again? Just curious. It makes a lot of sense as usual.

I like Miller but trade him by the dead line. By the time this team is ready to contend Miller will be on the down slide. Draft picks are nice but it's time to get some warm bodies that can contribute now. If 8 mil is the standard, I'd rather pay it to a goal scorer or stud D-man something Buffalo doesn't have.

I agree. Enroth could be a decent starter while the Sabres are rebuilding for the next couple years. That 8 million should be used for a true #1 center.

Reinhart and hopefully McDavid. Havent we learned yet that #1 centers dont come through free agency, gotta draft it.
